Information for Recommenders
Since 1999, the Dorrance Scholarship Program has relied on counselors and teachers to refer their first-generation students. Often, it is your encouragement that motivates students to apply.
Recommending a student is as easy as:
Share information about the Dorrance Scholarship Programs
Fill out a recommendation form
Hit ‘submit’
When it is time, provide the student with your official school email address. They will enter your contact information into their application. An electronic invitation from Survey Monkey Apply will be sent to you with instructions about filling out and submitting your form. Recommendation forms must be submitted online.
Test Score Information
The Dorrance Scholarship requires the submission of test scores from one of the tests below. If your student has taken the test more than once, we will super score.
ACT: Applicants must have a composite score of 22 or higher. Students can register HERE.
SAT: Applicants must have a combined score of 1110 or higher excluding the writing portion. Students can register HERE.
Be aware that students must register for the ACT or SAT by early November in order to receive their scores by the Dorrance Scholarship application deadline.
